WAVE POST #4

1. I think that been feels that all the rules for the WAVE are stupid but he still has to follow them because he doesn't want to get talked about for not being in the wave and he doesn't want to lose his friends like Laurie is. I also think that like the rest of the people that were against the wave he was very scared to have his own thoughts and feelings and thought that he could be bullied for having his own opinion. 2. A quote from the book that I thought was interesting was the one that Amy said, '' Come on, Laurie, the only reason why you're against the wave is because it means you're not the princess anymore''. This quote stood out to me because I thought it was interesting how Laurie got the same response from Amy that she got from David. It made me wonder if David told Amy that he told Laurie that or if it was just a Coincidence that they said almost the same thing. Also this part really made me get the feeling of how this was so much like the Nazis. 3. If you were a part of the WAVE at what point would your line in the sand be? Would you be like Laurie and never feel comfortable with the wave and do something about it? Or would you be like Brad and feel that most of the rules are stupid and go along with it anyway?

2) I agree with you on that because at some of my freinds that go to other schools say that two or three people have all the popularity and power. That isn't really how our school works. The wave is really starting to become more than originally intended and you did a good job displaying that.

3) I think i would draw the line at a wave rally, and quit then. I can usually tell when something will get out of hand and get uninvolved.

That quote stuck out at me a little also. maybe David was talking to Amy behind Laurie's back...

My line in the sand would be when a Jewish boy got beat up because of the wave. that action was just like the Nazis beating up a Jewish person a long time ago. and I can't stand when someone gets beat up or penalized just because of their thoughts or beliefs.

2)I think that he told her because he knew that she would go up to Amy her
best friend.

3)When they start say to take somebody out because they are a "threat"

2) that did shock be a bit but not like that and well they are not judging by religion

3)i would stop at the threatening that would be a big line for be a serious problem and i would be like Laurie because i would start doubting it when the cutting of classes started
